iPLATO announced today the successful rollout of its triage solution across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
Replacing the DoctorLink system for up to 1.8 million people, 200+ GP practices can choose between manual and automated triage with the majority expected to opt for the automated version which supports ‘smart signposting’ based on frequent requests from patients. The roll-out represents the largest deployment of its kind for the iPLATO team.
In a recent procurement in the North-West of England myGP Triage was successful in both the manual and automated categories, which included three other providers. iPLATO is a long-standing supporter of the local GP practices and the Integrated Care System having partnered around the development of intelligent care navigation for several years. myGP Triage will combine the huge benefits delivered by care navigation with a streamlined system of requesting services from the practice. In addition to Triage, practices will benefit from a range of additional iPLATO and myGP services for deliver ‘digital first’ primary care.
“We are enjoying the challenge of rolling out Triage alongside our existing services across Morecambe Bay, Central Lancashire, Fylde Coast, West Lancashire and Pennine Lancashire, says Jonathan Selby, Managing Director at iPLATO.
“After the pandemic we know how unpopular the previous triage solutions have become and we are committed to work with practices and the local population in finding a balance between practice workload and an excellent patient experience of healthcare”
