When a patient downloads the myGP app they will receive all SMS outgoing message as Data Messages instead of a regular SMS text.

What does that mean? It means your practice will not be charged any credits to send a message to a myGP user, since Data Messages are sent via online services. Data Messages are represented within

You can see any traffic related to Data Messages on your default Home>Summary page, in the column represented by the graphic icon:

Also, sent messages within the Message>Sent section, if it is a Data Message, will be represented by the graphic icon.

Please Note: if a patient has downloaded the myGP app but does not have their WiFi on, they will receive their message as a regular SMS text.
