Patients between the ages 12 to 15 years old will fall into the Teenage Consent category linked to the myGP app. Since they are teenagers but not legally an adult, they will not be able to download the app on their own personal mobile phone.

These patients will then also be automatically removed from their guardians’ Health Network on the myGP app when they become 12 years old.

Within this age group, if they wish to be registered as a dependent on their guardians phone, they must provide consent to your practice in order for feature access to go ahead.

Once patients turn 16 years old, they are considered adults and will be able to download and authenticate themselves to use the myGP app if they have their mobile number registered at the practice.
